As the most technologically advanced version to date, the Tamagotchi V4 allows you to “live the Tamagotchi life” 24/7 as you choose which classes to take in school, leading to the job and lifestyle your character will enjoy in the future. And to create additional excitement in your life journey, you can earn new “Skill Points.” Gain Intellectual, Beauty or Social Points by playing the different mini games and help decide on your character’s career!
In addition to the features of previous releases, a new V4 feature is the “Gotchi Post.” Watch your character receive messages – good and bad fortunes, letters and news – during each stage of its growth, leading to different choices and adventures. During adolescence, you’ll receive an official invitation to attend school, and when you reach adulthood, you’ll be invited to apply for a job. Choose from a variety of 15 different professions, including scientist, professor, doctor, banker, TV news anchor, rock star, fashion designer, baker, beautician, florist, theme park worker, preschool teacher, fireman, travel agent and chef – depending on the accumulation of your Skill Points. You can also switch jobs later when openings become available.
The new V4 builds on the play pattern of the very first virtual pet, adding even more technology and special features. Last year’s interactive Web site returns to introduce even more fans to the magical world of TamagotchiTown.com. You can log on and use your earned Gotchi Points and special passwords to shop for treats at the mall, watch movies at the theater, visit the arcade, eat in the food court, meet your character’s parents, and even visit the Tamagotchi King—a true honor! You can also continue to travel the world, but now to exciting new exotic destinations like Canada, Paris, Africa and Tokyo! Collect fun souvenirs in your Tamagotchi, including a beret from Paris and a maple leaf from Canada.
Tamagotchi V4 even expands upon TamaTown.com by letting you see your character online as it goes to school, plays in the various games, and partakes in life’s other daily adventures. Log on to see your official TamaTown.com driver’s license, as well as your Shopping Bag which conveniently lists all the recent items you’ve purchased or won from the site.
Owners can still “connect” their Tamagotchi toy with others (no matter if they have Version 1-3), via the awesome infrared technology feature. Watch your characters play games together, trade gifts and become pals, while you store a list of up to 45 friends in your Tamagotchi. Once an adult, your virtual pet can then connect with a compatible friend and create successive generations of characters for you to care for!
