Super Deformed Models: there's nothing quite like 'em!
Super Deformed models, known as Gundam Superior Defenders on the American market, are Bandai's mini model kit line created to amuse and entertain Gundam model kit builders. The words "super deformed" really define the entire line. Each kit is a small, ready-to-assemble caricature of either a real mecha from the Gundam series or an imaginary one. The models all come with some kind of weapon (sword, cannon, ball-and-chain, etc.), and several --but not all-- have a gimmick (transformation into a different mode, a missile shooter that actually launches plastic projectiles like hands and bombs, extra mini hands for grasping additional weapons, etc.)
The Super Deformed models are all molded in color and feature snap assembly, so no paint or glue is needed to complete them. Stickers are included for the details. Like all Bandai Japan kits, the instructions for assembly are in Japanese, but they feature clear, easy-to-follow pictures. The Super Deformed model kits vary in size from about 2.5 - 3.5 inches tall.
The Super Deformed line is perfect for children--and old-school Gundam fans who want a good chuckle. With over 200 crazy characters, you can easily and quickly create your own Gundam army! So check out these terrific little kits; they're definitely big fun with a small price tag!
