An Update from Gundam Store and More
To all our customers:
GSAM is mainly a family-run business, and in mid-July one of our key family and office members became seriously ill. The extended emergency caused us to close our front office, though our warehouse continued shipping orders. New inventory shipments had arrived but were kept on hold. Only a minimal amount of orders were delayed for the weeks this situation was happening, and we do express our sincere apologies to those who had to wait a few days longer to get them. Customers who were impacted were either given a full shipping refund or have one in process as we review each order to try to catch anything that did not leave on time. In the over 15 years we have been in operation, only twice as such a situation developed. Needless to say, caring for family is always a paramount concern. However, given the years of support we have gotten from loyal customers who have stuck with us through thick and thin, we consider you to all be part of our GSAM family, too. So we did try our best to keep our shipping operations running smoothly.
While our family member is doing much better, we've found out that he still has a long road ahead of him to be well again. We have all worked to get the new items and restocks listed for you, but local customers may still encounter days when our front office is closed. The warehouse, however, will continue shipping orders on schedule.
We are also so appreciative to those customers who have been working to get out the word about what happened and can't thank you enough for all the support, well wishes, and kindness we've been shown during this time. It means more than words can say. We're happy to have shipments coming in for you all again (and finally posted to our site!) and look forward to being able to work more on the website in coming weeks.
Since we know Gundam fans know Gundam models, we went ahead and listed items in the new section without pictures so you can order them. We're getting emails and calls daily for new items, as well as restocks, and wanted to make them available--even if not in the most ideal presentation. Please also remember that we do look at each and every order and post shipping refunds when we are able to save you money by checking rates with various carriers. Sometimes the refunds are considerable, and sometimes they may just be a dollar or two. It's your money, though, so we want to save you as much of it as possible by not only offering products at a fair price but watching the shipping costs, too.
